The main tasks of the Ministry in the road complex are:

• Formation and realization of the state policy for road complex
• Development of the state strategy and programs for development of the road sector, providing their financing and implementation
• Providing the sustainable financing of the road complex, searching for new sources of financing
• Approving standards of determination of costs associated with construction, repair and maintenance of automobile roads of common use
• Approving technical rules of repair and maintenance of automobile roads of common use
• Developing, approving and modifying sector construction standards
