Great Britain is determined to remain a partner of Ukraine even after the victory and to build historical relations
Great Britain is one of the countries that has provided consistent and systematic support from the first day of the full-scale invasion to the present day. Instead, Ukraine is ready to continue cooperation and work according to the principles of transparency, accountability and efficiency.
Oleksiy Kuleba, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, said this during a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain, Martin Harris.
"We have to complete all the projects that have been started. However, from now on the Ministry takes care of the new policy regarding the temporarily occupied territories as an element of the regional policy. It will also be worth paying joint attention. The issue of the Black Sea is also within the scope of our cooperation. We must preserve the safety of the sea corridor by all means," said Oleksiy Kuleba.
Oleksiy Kuleba thanked Great Britain for systematic, quick and timely support and assistance.
In turn, Martin Harris noted that Ukraine and Britain have a lot of common affairs and plans.
"Because of this terrible war, Great Britain and Ukraine have become great allies and partners. We have made it clear that your safety is our safety. Ukraine's victory is important for everyone. And even after the victory, we have great prospects for the development of our relations. The largest aid program in the world from Britain is aid to Ukraine. This is both humanitarian and economic aid. That is, we are full-spectrum donor. We are already preparing new aid programs and programs for various branches of Ukraine," he said.
The parties also discussed the heating season in Ukraine, its features and needs.
