Ukraine continues cooperation with Türkiye and Japan in restoring Ukrainian communities

As part of the Türkiye-Japan Overseas Construction Cooperation Conference, a separate panel devoted to the reconstruction of Ukraine was held.

Türkiye and Japan play an important role in restoring Ukrainian communities, and Ukraine expects to continue and expand this cooperation. Oleksiy Kuleba, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine - Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, stated this during a video address to the participants of the 7th Türkiye-Japan Overseas Construction Cooperation Conference, which was taking place in Istanbul. Representatives of government and business circles of Türkiye and Japan participated in the conference, which was taking place in Istanbul.

Within the framework of a separate panel devoted to the restoration of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba called on the representatives of Türkiye and Japan to actively participate in projects that involve promising future investments.

"Today, our partners Türkiye and Japan play an important role in restoring Ukrainian communities. Ukraine expects to continue and expand mutually beneficial cooperation. This will bring the country's reconstruction closer as soon as possible and promote business development and cooperation with partners. Ukraine's reconstruction focuses on energy, housing for people, and critical infrastructure. I am grateful to the partners for their support and help," said Oleksiy Kuleba.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Türkiye, Vasyl Bodnar, thanked Turkey and Japan for their support, citing specific examples of successful projects in which ONUR, DOĞUŞ, and Çalıc Energy corporations took part. He also presented the current priorities for restoring infrastructure to meet the urgent needs of Ukrainian citizens. He spoke about the existing mechanisms for the participation of foreign companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine, in particular about the digital ecosystem DREAM (Digital Restoration Ecosystem for Accountable Management), which was created with the support of international partners to ensure transparency and accountability of selection and implementation of relevant projects.
