The Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine—the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, the Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa, and the Special Envoy for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Coordinator of the Working Group from Italy on Reconstruction and Strengthening of Resilience of Ukraine6 David La Cecilia, discussed the main aspects of the upcoming conference and further bilateral cooperation.

Oleksiy Kuleba thanked the Government of Italy for the important initiative of holding the Ukraine Recovery Conference in 2025 and confirmed the Ministry's readiness to cooperate in its preparation.

"This is a significant event that supports international coordination in the reconstruction of our country and the attraction of new investments, and is an important platform for discussing the key issues of reconstruction," the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine emphasized.

The meeting participants discussed the role of regions and communities in restoration. The success of the Recovery Forum and roundtable formats was noted, which allow for attracting a wide range of participants, intensifying business involvement, and making the discussion more practical. To prepare the regions and communities for the conference, it was proposed that Road to URC2025 events in Ukraine and Italy be held at the beginning of the year.

David La Cecilia, the special representative and coordinator of the Working Group from Italy on Reconstruction and Strengthening of Resilience of Ukraine, emphasized that more business representatives will be involved in the URC this year, which should positively contribute to the support for the recovery of Ukraine.

Separately, the parties discussed the issue of Italy's participation in the restoration of cultural objects, as well as objects of critical infrastructure in Odesa and the region.
