 “Today is a special, happy day for me - one of Europe's largest low fares airline "Ryanair" is in Ukraine,” Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, stated during the joint press conference with David O'Brien, Chief Commercial Officer at Ryanair, which took place at the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine on March 15, 2017.

"Today is a remarkable event for Ukraine – Europe’s number one low fares airline is in Ukraine. In fact, I want everyone to understand that not everything happens simply and easily. Negotiations with Ryanair lasted since 2011. And I am very pleased and it is important that our team was able to successfully hold them. I want to thank Ryanair for understanding all the turbulence of our country, but, nevertheless, believe in the country. And I am very pleased that national airports - Boryspil and Lviv – airports from which Ryanair will fly from Ukraine to Europe", - Volodymyr Omelyan said.  

During the press conference David O'Brien announced 4 new routes from Kyiv to Eindhoven, London, Manchester and Stockholm, starting from October. It is expected that passenger traffic on flights to Kyiv airport will be 250 000 passengers. Also, the company will start flights from Lviv, where planned even more new routes at reduced prices for Ukrainian consumers and visitors.  To celebrate the launch in Ukraine, Ryanair made a special offer: tickets for flights in October and November will starting from €19.99, which are available for booking until midnight Thursday (16 Mar).

During the press conference David O'Brien, Chief Commercial Officer at Ryanair, said: " Ryanair is pleased to announce that low fares have arrived in Ukraine, our 34th country of operation, with 4 new Kiev routes to Eindhoven, London, Manchester and Stockholm, beginning in October. We will also commence flights to/from Lviv, our 2nd airport in Ukraine. "
